Hello, I am Melissa Kleinhans :)

Based in the beautiful sunny Cape Town, South Africa.

For as long as I can remember I've always had a passion for art, which have driven me to photography and retouching. Im constantly striving to develop my skills. My art is inspired by my love for nature and people.

 

I studied fine art, majoring in photography at Nelson Mandela University, Port Elizabeth. Over three years, I have gained a variety of skills in the different fields in photography and art . Professional Photography has been taught to us, in the studio, outdoors, indoors and many other sections, which I deliver in the highest quality as possible.

I mostly focus on Editorial, Portraiture and Fine Art Photography. Working almost in a lifestyle format, but also in layouts and close ups. Not only taking a photograph, but really investing myself with the moment. To me photography is not only taking a picture but really investing the subject, crating my composition as if I’m telling a story. While working on conceptual projects, I have gain a skill to composite and retouch.

Fine art has always been a big passion of mine, to combine photography with it, has been an absolute joy . I have consumed my own projects on the side.

 

My fine art work is very much inspired by nature and society.  Fine art photography also involves highly compositing images. I also enjoy photographing portraits where i can capture the moments which contains the connections of the normal lifestyle.
